A viral video purportedly on X (formerly Twitter) is shared with the captions “Take this second and third evidence, listen to the fugitive Adil Raja and listen to Shireen Mazari that the majority of overseas voters of Tehreek-e-Insaf are Qadiani and listen to Shireen Mazari’s interview given to Rabwah Time how she tried to change the law of end of prophethood. But failed.”

Another X user posted the same clip with the following caption “Not only religious, Ahmadis are denied all kinds of rights in Pakistan. Right to education, right to seek government jobs, right to do business, right to shop in certain markets. On religious part, only for saying السلام علیکم is a two year prisonment offence for an Ahmadi.”
The claim gained traction on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), the claim was shared here, here, here and here accumulating more than 35K views.
To verify the claim’s accuracy, an extensive fact-checking procedure was undertaken. A reverse image search revealed that the 25:56 minutes interview was actually taken by Al Jazeera on December 06, 2019, which discussed about Human Rights issue’s in Pakistan.
The poster cropped segments of the 25-minute video and extracted 4 parts in which Shireen Mazari talked about the Ahmadia Community’s fundamental rights, the logo of “Al Jazeera” can be clearly seen in the background.
The viral claim appears to have been shared with the intent to defame former Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari and to discredit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party of former prime minister Imran Khan and his allies.
Conclusion
Our fact check confirmed that former Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari did not give an interview to Rabwah Times discussing efforts to change the law on the end of prophethood. The video in question is a segment from a 2019 interview with Al Jazeera where Mazari discussed human rights issues in Pakistan.
The manipulation of the video, including the addition of the Rabwah Times logo, aims to mislead viewers and spread false information about Mazari’s statements.
